Follow Me!
Hello My Tweeple…. Yes, I’ve jumped on to the bandwagon and am on Twitter. I still don’t quite get it (whereas Facebook makes complete, metaphysical sense to me), but please… Follow J_Keith and get little updates on my doings.
Then somebody explain it to me.
Carrot Top
Sometimes life gives you lemons and you make lemonade. Other times you get carrots and you make… a little 3-minute video. Enjoy!
Only Human
Hello Friends,
Thanks to all those who attended my game show pilot presentation of WORD1. I’m working on editing the show now.
Meantime, I’ll be posting some videos of past “What’s My Line? - Live On Stage” segments and other goodies to keep you warm throughout the winter.
As usual, I pepper this blog with photos of my travels, the latest being to New York. Make sure to add me as your friend on Facebook for even more updates!
The First Word
I’m very excited to announce a brand new project… The debut of a new game show created by myself and Jim Newman. It’s called WORD1 and it’s premiering as a live pilot presentation on November 17, 19, & 20 at ACME Comedy Theatre. More info will be posted here in the coming days and at www.word1.tv
I hope you’ll join us for some fun-filled evenings of fast-paced games and prizes!
Through Bone-Colored Glasses
I got new glasses. They’re made of bone. I can’t tell if I’m being a good egg, cuz that’s an environmentally-friendly, renewable resource OR if I’m a bad egg because I’m exploiting an animal (at least I hope it’s an animal bone).
Either way, here’s looking at YOU, blog-reader!
Politickling
In addition to recruiting folks to register to vote (see photo), I’ve been doing more political humor lately. Check out my man-on-the-street video, the Political Pop videos and blog, and my upcoming standup gig at The Room in October. I’m realizing more and more how much I’ve always felt invested in politics. Now I get to do more than just yell at the TV like the old coot I’m becoming. Thanks for yelling back. Oh, and please: VOTE!!!
Slated
It’s fun to work in showbiz, especially when there’s actually work. I try to capture the moments that feel like I’d imagined Hollywood would be, like when someone would clap a slate in front of me.
Of course, I didn’t imagine that that someone would be looking at me sideways, that I’d be shooting a commercial for Mercury Insurance and about to enter a hotel wearing a hidden camera, but hey… that’s the magic of the dream factory.
Look for the spot later this summer.
Pop Goes The Politics
So here’s a new project I’m working on. You know those clip shows where you see folks like me make little comments on clips from pop culture? Well here’s one, except that we comment on politics. But it’s funnier than I just described. Anyhow, check it out. It’s called The Political Pop!

Well Albee Darned!
Between us, we have three Pulitzer prizes, a Tony Lifetime Achievement Award, a National Medal of the Arts, a Kennedy Center Honors award, and a Circle M Day Camp Three-Year Camper Trophy.
But only one of us is considered the greatest living American playwright AND appeared on “What’s My Line?” in October of 1968.
That would be Edward Albee, who was kind enough to be the Mystery Guest on the Season Finale of “What’s My Line? - Live On Stage” this past Monday night. It was a privilege to share the stage with him –and who knew he was so funny?
A Night to Memorialize!
A show on Memorial Day? Are we crazy? The answer to at least one of these questions is YES!
We’re pulling out all the stops with a finale that includes “The Daily Show”’s John Oliver and Tony darlings Austin Pendleton and Stephanie D’Abruzzo! Join us, won’t you!
But really, it’s the night of Memorial Day, so you’ve already done your travel, barbecue, and/or shopping. Plus, hopefully, you’ve actually taken time to pay tribute to some folks who’ve sacrificed for the USA. Now, let’s have some fun and say hello and goodbye to “What’s My Line?” with our SEASON FINALE!
USA! USA! USA!
