Los Angeles

Career Highlights

Yes, it’s summertime in California, and that means it’s time to bring out the natural blond color buried deep in the ancestry of my hair. It also means that I’m about to tape another talking-head show for E! and then jet back to New York in time for Monday’s penultimate “What’s My Line?” show.

It’s quite a glamorous life, and as you can see, I’m enjoying every minute of it. Even if I have to be my own paparazzo.

Oscar Blog — Returning TODAY!!

The Oscar nominees are announced this morning at 530 a.m.

Who would be crazy enough to be up at that hour? ME! I’ll be blogging about them LIVE and sleepy for Yahoo! Movies. Check it out at http://oscars.movies.yahoo.com/blogs/. I’ll have a more formal post up later in the day, and then my weekly gig with updates starts in earnest next Monday.

The first official-ish post is already up.

Viva Oscar! Viva sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep!

Suddenly Last Summer

The Yahoo! Answers On The Street Show posts its final episode on Monday. Here’s a 3-minute retrospective on how I spent my summer in Los Angeles.

Note: This is a rough edit. The smoothified version is coming soon.

Revenge

Then one day the Gingerbread Man came back to life. He was huge. He was angry. He was hungry.

Showbiz!

Today I’m going to the first rehearsal for an exciting new project I’m shooting next week. My co-star is a chimpanzee.

I’m not kidding.

My goal: Not to have feces thrown at me. At least not by the monkey.

Go Jews!!!

The Jews vs. The Christians XIX

I’ll be performing in this…

December 1 at Bang Improv Studio

Now in it’s 10th year, our popular improv competition brings an all-celebrity cast battling it out to see just which religion is funnier. Fred Willard, Jeff Garlin, Willie Garson, and David DeLuise are already scheduled to appear, with more to come - and we’re sending 100% of the door to The Museum of Tolerance, whether they want it or not! (Checks to: The Museum of Tolerance, tax deductible donation).

Thankful

Holy Crow, has it been this long since I’ve written?

Well, yes, dummy, obviously.

Sorry, folks!

Aside from the fact that I almost got hit by a city bus (photos to come), it’s been a very good past several days. Plans have been shored up for me to get back to New York and I’ve worked a whole bunch.

I hope to be making more solid/official announcements soon, but I’ll be hosting a pilot for a new TV game show, I already hosted three episodes of a new Internet show that I think will get lots of buzz and maybe even do some good, it’s looking like there will be a return engagement on a fun gig I did earlier this year, the pilot I did that didn’t get picked up now allegedly has some interest from other places, I’ve got 2 new talking head shows on E! coming out in the next few weeks, and, oh I already mentioned the New York thing.

The one thing I can mention for sure is that I’ll be performing in a fun improv show on December 1 with some real heavyweight celebrities… like Fred Willard and Jeff Garlin. It’s a great show that benefits the Museum of Toleranace and even better, it’s Jews vs. Christians. More on that to come.

So there. I’m grateful for all of it, and for your visits to this site. I think I have some photos in my phone that haven’t posted here. I’ll get those up and running soon too.

So how are YOU?

Apparently I’m a bon-vivant.

Better than a mal-vivant, I guess.

Anyway, this will be a lot of fun. If you’re in LA, please come. If you’re not in LA, please come to LA. Then come to the show. Then leave.

Fire Score

This is how the LA Times is keeping track on their website…

420,424
acres burned

1,155
homes destroyed

881,500
people evacuated

Seems a little insensitive, especially when considering that this is how they’re keeping track of Kobe Bryant…

Jammed
